Congratulations to Rebecca who successfully completed the Race for Life walk in just over an hour. With online donation’s and sponsorship she raised amazingly over £400 for the charity.
She completed the race with her family and it looks as though they thoroughly enjoyed the event.
Keep posted for further charity events coming up in our corporate clothing departments.
We were lucky enough to visit Aberdeen City Council in their stunningly beautiful new offices in January – and now they have new jackets as well!
Town House Aberdeen
And boy were our jackets put to the test this last month in this continuously wet, humid, stormy weather. Lee Taylor, Facilities Officer at Aberdeen Council has given us some brilliant feedback on why our jackets are so good for these weather conditions, saying “All the garments are very high quality. The jackets are completely waterproof and we have had no problems with leaky jackets. We particularly like the quilted liner as we can remove it on warmer days”. Wow, what great feedback!
We don’t want to get too big-headed, but Lee also said “The customer service is brilliant, delivery times are always kept to, they have competitive prices” and best of all “I would recommend Keltic Clothing to all Councils”. Double wow!
Since our jackets are highly breathable, patrollers can still feel cool but won’t get soaking wet in the process. Perfect for another wash-out week! Have a good one!
Bradford City Council have joined the growing number of School Crossing Patrols to be wearing Keltic Clothing uniform. The decision was made after our Standard STOP Jacket was put through its paces by experienced patroller Brenda Forcer.
Brenda patrols the highest school crossing in the whole country – at exactly 1000 feet above sea level, she certainly has to brave the elements. What a perfect way to test our new jacket!
High visibility, high quality, high altitude, low cost!
Brenda, who has been a school crossing patrol person for over 17 years, gave fantastic feedback on the new jacket. Interestingly, based on her experience, Brenda feels that wearing a two tone jacket is a safer option. Drivers have also stated to Brenda that they feel the two tone coats make the patrols stand out more.
Brenda also commented on how much the children liked her new jacket! There were also no complaints from Brenda about being cold either, and if anyone would feel the cold while on patrol it would be Brenda! Brrrrrr! At just £49.95 a jacket, Bradford Council have also saved a huge amount of money by moving to Keltic.
As you probably know 20th June was the first day of Summer. Summer? What’s that I hear you say! I think it’s safe to say that we haven’t had much of a Summer so far and England is set for at least another 10 days of rain! My heart goes out to the dedicated team of School Crossing Patrollers that are keeping our little ones safe on the roads across the country. As happy and content as they are in their job, their clothing can make all the difference in this extreme weather. A Patroller wet through does not make for job satisfaction.
We’ve had great feedback on our School Crossing Patrol jackets from a number of local authorities. Mainly because they are 8 times more waterproof than the highest European Standard and many times more breathable. Breathability is important as we recognise that sometimes when it is wet it is not always that cold. Another added great feature is the removable quilted liner that also helps to regulate body temperature. Our Superior Stop jacket uses prismatic tape which can be seen up to 7 times further away. Another fact is that prismatic tape does not lose its reflectivity in the rain whereas glass bead tape “blacks out” when the rain drops fall on it.
Why not call us and take a look at a sample and see the quality for yourself! You can call us on 08450 66 66 99 to arrange this.
School Crossing Patrol Cakes
Here at Keltic Clothing we are getting rather famous for our cupcakes. Every event we attend we take some along and we are happy to report they are all eaten (and not by us!). So we thought we would spread a bit of this cupcake joy around being as everyone is feeling a bit jaded due to the weather!
So here is our offer, you can enjoy a whole box of Keltic Clothing legendary cupcakes when you place your first order – for a limited time only. So give Louise Bennett a call on 08450 66 66 99 to place your order and claim your box of cupcakes. But hurry – they are for a limited amount of time!
On a recent trip to St. Andrews for an exhibition to show off our latest security clothing, Keltic’s very own Ian Lines scored a hole in one!
Ian on the putting green
We were at St. Andrews University demonstrating our recent security clothes innovations, and Ian and David took the time out to practice their golf skills in the evening.
So after a hard day’s work, Ian was rewarded with a couple of beers and a hole in one – not a bad day’s work all round then!
Check back next week for further Keltic antics!

Having recently supplied a full warden uniform order for Neath Port Talbot, we were delighted to receive great feedback and photos of the guys in their new gear.
Moving away from their black warden uniforms of previous years, their brand new warden uniforms are having a great impact.
“The feedback that I have had from the staff, now that they have been wearing the enforcement uniform a couple of months is really good they are all very happy with the quality of the kit. The coats and Strider boots in particular are very impressive. We have also had some positive feedback from the public in that we are more visible now we have moved away from a mainly black warden uniform”
For further information on our enforcement uniforms, or if you would like to share photos of your staff in a new uniform supplied by us, then call Vicki on 01922 616 999.
