As I am sure you are all aware it is the diamond jubilee for the School crossing patrol service in April. To mark the occasion we have decided it would be nice if we can offer you something to celebrate the occasion with. As our road safety lollipops went down so well at the Road Safety GB conference recently we thought it would be a nice idea if we could supply these to you.
They would also be great to use to give to the children as prizes and incentives during schemes such as child pedestrian training and cycle training. They are a delicious Tutti Fruiti flavour and have a edible stop sign in the middle – The kids will love them! Take a look at our pictures and see for yourself .

Keltic Clothing would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you that came over to see us on our stand at the exhibition this week. The Speakers at the conference were fantastic. The food at the dinner was delicious – hats off to the chef!
We couldn’t believe what a lovely location the conference was held at. There was a lovely atmosphere at the Exhibition and it was so nice to eventually put faces to all of you Serena and I have spoken to so often on the phone.
It was very exciting for us this year as we’ve had a lot of new things going on at Keltic this year and it was great to finally showcase some of our school crossing patrol clothing products. I hope you all got to see our new Stop Glove, cycle jacket and Road Safety Education resources. Samples are available on request.
A big Congratulations to Alan Kennedy (chair of Road Safety GB) from Durham County Council for winning our Business Card Competition! He went home with a lovely bottle of Champagne.
Take a look at the new addition to our Road Safety Education Range, brand new this week.
Over the past few months I have been busy speaking with hundreds of key buyers (as most of you already know!) and I would like to thank you all for your time.
The new addition to the Road Safety Education Range is the Belisha Beacon Set. The set is used to instruct children how to follow road safety procedures. We feel this is a great addition as research has shown that something lightweight and easy to move around is just what is needed. This set literally includes what is required and nothing else, which makes it ultra-portable – a bit of good news for all those keen cyclists out there!
We are still developing our Road Safety Education Range, and we have some great things in the pipeline – so watch this space.

As reported in the Walsall Chronicle last week – Walsall Council has just employed their youngest school crossing patrol warden and Keltic clothing helped to get him started by providing our very own summer stop jacket from our school crossing patrol clothing range. 19 year old Ben Jeffery decided to become a school crossing patrol warden after taking the advice of his Grandad.
His Grandad used to work for the council himself and encouraged Ben to follow in his footsteps. Walsall Council have over 80 members of staff and the age range varies from 19 to 75. A massive 62 of the 80 patrols are under the age of 65. This proves the assumption wrong that all school crossing patrol staff are retired people
As well as supplying our local council , we also supply to over 100 other council with their school crossing patrol uniform. This number is growing every week. Councils are moving to Keltic because not only are we saving them a significant amount of money, we also have all our stock on the shelf for next day delivery.

Last week Keltic attended the West Midlands Regional group meeting in Solihull. Alongside the meeting we took part in a Trade Fair with a few more school Crossing Patrol uniform suppliers. This was a great idea, hosted by Coral Holloway of Dudley Metropolitan Council held at Solihull Council. We can’t thank Coral and Kim Stone from Solihull Council enough for their hospitality!
We had some great feedback on some of our school crossing patrol wear, for example, really positive comments on our waterproof black SCP gloves and the cupcakes went down really well. Keltic held a prize draw to win a bottle of Champagne. Our Director David Barry gave us the honour of pulling the lucky name out of the box. Congratulations to the lucky winner, Tina Green from Worcestershire County Council.
We would just like to say a big thank you to everyone that attended for making us feel welcome and all the positive feedback we received, we hope to see you all again soon!
Don’t forget our festive offer of a FREE wearer trial of any of our school crossing patrol clothing, please call Serena or Laura on 08450 66 66 99 to arrange your free trial.
