What is body armour?
Body armour is a protective system, designed to protect the wearer from death and serious injury yet still be flexible and lightweight enough to allow them to do their job. No body armour can protect from all threats in all circumstances - body armour is stab, spike or bullet resistant to a particular level. This website explains these levels, and our brochure provides further detail
How do I choose the right body armour?
Every organisation has a duty of care to protect their staff from risk. In dangerous professions this includes providing appropriately certified body armour. It's vital to ensure that any body armour you choose is certified by the Home Office to meet the stated standards and is CE marked. The Home Office tests are there to help employers fulfil their duty of care. Be wary of suppliers who say their body armour is "made to" a particular Home Office standard - it may not have been tested by the Home Office - ask to see their Home Office certification.
