Covert Ballistic Vests

Covert Ballistic Vests, sometimes referred to as "Covert Bullet Proof Vests" and “Covert Bullet Resistant Vests” are worn under the clothing, (as opposed to Overt Ballistic Vests) either next to the skin, or over a Cool Dry T-shirt which provides additional heat and moisture management. Our customers choose covert ballistic vest protection when their staff need to look non-confrontational in their job roles, and it also presents a more economical solution than other ballistic protection vests. We also stock Zip Front Overt Ballistic Vests and Tabard-Style Overt Ballistic Vests, which are worn over the clothing and can act as a visible deterrent to crime in some situations. Our stock Covert Ballistic Vest is certified by the Home Office to HG1A Handgun Protection Level, as well as KR1 & SP1 knife and spike resistance standards, and also provides syringe and blunt trauma (body blow) protection - all in a single vest. All our “covert bullet proof vests” are designed with comfort and manoeuvrability in mind, incorporating a unique heat and sweat management system. The main issue historically with covert ballistic vests has been the discomfort caused by heat and perspiration, and we have worked hard to incorporate very advanced internal materials that reduce the effects of overheating. Our covert ballistic vest manufacturer also gives the option to specially manufacture vests incorporating the "Siophase" system, which works inside the ballistic vest protection, regulating body temperature by removing heat in excess of 37°C from the body. This excess heat is stored inside the fabric and released again when the body temperature falls below 37°C.
