Face Coverings For Work That Work

Fabric face maskIt’s strange times we’re living through, and even stranger to think that we’re now seven months into living with coronavirus. In those seven months, we’ve learned a lot about ways to protect staff from the risk of Covid-19 infection in a multitude of different workplaces and developed a lot of products in the uniform sector that helps to do this. This has included an anti-bacterial mask that is made from recycled plastic bottles, printed face masks of all types,  as well as antiviral sprays that kill covid-19 on masks and workwear.

As we’ve seen the pandemic develop into its second wave, and we’ve all understood that it’s not going anywhere for a while, we’ve seen companies and organisations of all types observe how much they’ve been spending on disposable face masks and move more towards reusable face masks,  ie. fabric face coverings that can be worn for work for long periods, washed and then re-worn the next day.

We’ve also, as the weather has begun to get colder, seen customers more interested in alternative face coverings – fabric face coverings for employees that are not masks, or not “just” masks, such as scarves and antiviral snoods. Whilst in Summer no one wanted any more cloth against their face than they had to, in winter having more rather than less cloth covering your face is seen in many working environments as a bonus.

Cloth face coverings for employees now come in many designs. As well as multiple mask designs we also offer at least five different types of snoods/neck warmers that also do the job of a face mask. Employees pull them up when they need to, but if it’s the staff that works in offices, they just leave them around their necks, comfortably sitting there until needed again. We’re told by our customers that it can feel more “human” to have that type of fabric face cover for staff rather than a more formal face mask.
