An Award For Wiltshire Council’s Longest Serving SCP

Out in every weather, on their feet constantly, a school crossing patrol’s job can be tiresome. At Keltic we really respect the SCP’s that we supply. That’s why when we heard recently about Cathy Cross of Wiltshire Council’s 37 year service, we had to do something to thank her!

A Dedicated SCP

Mrs Cross is someone who is absolutely dedicated to her job. Despite the tiresome work, she loves it, and it shows. She is known and loved by all of the students and teachers at Collingbourne School, where she is stationed. We had the pleasure of attending a brilliant afternoon at Collingbourne School recently, where Mrs Cross was awarded a longest service award for 37 years!

A Big Surprise

Mrs Cross was thoroughly surprised and happily inundated with plenty of lovely gifts and handmade cards from the children attending the school. This was all very deserved after her massive service to the school. What Mrs Cross didn’t know was that two of the Keltic team, who had supplied her uniform and whom she had got to know over the years, were waiting in the wings undercover to surprise her with her longest service badge and bottle of champagne!

A Wonderful Day

Everybody had a great afternoon thanking Mrs Cross for her many years of great service to the community. We were thrilled to have be invited to the occasion. Thank you Collingbourne School, and thank you Mrs Cross!
