Our Packaging
It is important to Keltic to reduce our environmental footprint as much as possible. To help ensure we are doing this we have ditched all plastic shipping materials within our business. You’ll receive your orders packaged in cardboard or paper, and we even use paper tape. All items are made from recycled paper or card and are fully recyclable! Our mailing supplier is only 20 miles away from our main warehouse, and their supplies are made right here in the Midlands rather than shipped from further afield, making the environmental impact even less.
We are reducing the plastic in our packaging as well; by 2020 most of our garments will be in compostable bags, paper bags or no bags at all where we can. Some garments do need some sort of protection in form of a bag which is why we have looked for alternatives to plastic. Paper box dividers made from recycled paper are great for storage on our warehouse shelves, and compostable bags have a very short lifespan, so even if they aren’t put on compost heap and do end up in landfill, they will turn to dust in around 2 years instead of sticking around for a long time.
